And it was the canon law of the Catholic Church, the oldest legal system in the West, that nurtured respect for law long before the rise of Europe's nation-states.
In the language of the French Enlightenment, the preamble extols Europe's "underlying humanism: equality of persons, freedom, respect for reason." But as we all know, these "humanist" values, separated from religious faith, crumbled in the blitzkrieg and disappeared at Auschwitz.

OK. So I'm going to get hate mail for the subject title I chose...
To be more accurate, I really mean that fundamentalistic Christians make me puke. I have several friends who are Christians, and none of them make me puke. Unlike the guy being described here, they are all extremely reasonable people.
(Is it obvious who I am yet? I think it should be.)

The Scoreboard used to refer to number of playings of the Ride vs. showerings received. This is no longer true, since away from Tech it doesn't work as well.
(I must say that your thoughts on fundamentalist Christians are not unique among my readership, and as such would not necessarily allow me to identify you. When I'm in doubt, though, I just consult the server logs.)
