Blogiversary, or something

Posted by Arcane Gazebo at February 1, 2004 12:24 PM One year ago today, I made the first entry on this website, about the space shuttle accident. Somehow, after all that's happened in the world, I'm still updating the site rather than hiding in my closet waiting for the apocalypse. Thanks to all my readers, who inexplicably keep coming back.

Today is also my father's birthday--I won't say how old he is, but it's a big, round number--and you can celebrate by buying a copy of The Night of the Dance, which has been nominated for a Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award in the category of Best First Novel by an American Author. (Sadly, no link; the MWA hasn't posted the 2004 nominations on the web yet.) The full list of nominees is here. Tags:

I just heard from your Dad...from Maui no less...I can't believe I wasn't notified about this trip! I make an excellent baggage carrier. But instead I'm stuck here in a town that is suffering from massive Super Bowl hangover...

My friends at work and I are casting the film adaptation of The Night of the Dance as we speak...I'll give you an update later with our suggestions. :)
