Caltech 6, MIT 1

Via Mason in e-mail and Zifnab in comments: Caltech students prank MIT's prefrosh weekend.

Excellent. The current class of Techers is obviously way cooler than we were.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. Of course, I'm in the camp that thinks most of the cool comes from the fact *that* they did it, rather than *what* they did.

Oh, and IMHO the other nice thing about this is the possibility of setting some sort of precedent. Or, more accurately, reviving a bit of precedent.

I agree: as far as style goes these weren't particularly groundbreaking pranks, but the scope was very impressive.

Yes, it's the idea of going onto enemy territory and doing stuff there rather than the specifics of what they did that's awesome. Another entry for the in-progress (and time-consuming...) _Legends_ books. It warms my heart...

In terms of stuff, there was some cool stuff before you arrived (and some stuff I think was cool after you arrived).

Anyway, maybe I should plug my book too, although I _hope_ I'll be able to convince the alumni association to give free copies to contributors. (Don't count on it, though. I don't control the purse strings and am in no position to make any promises.)

Naturally, Autumn and I are behind schedule on the book, although we are slowly progressing.
