The Day Before the Ides of March

Today is Albert Einstein's birthday. It's also Pi Day, but like T-Rex I prefer Pi Approximation Day on July 22, not to mention Euler's Number Day on February 71.

When I was advised to Google "March 14th" I expected something related to the above, but the first result reveals something else entirely.

Well, that fits right into today's lunch conversation.

Cat: "We had strippers dancing on tables. [pause] We wanted to have a nice, relaxed atmosphere." (Some of the minor connecting words may not be entirely accurate.)

Today was also Kirby Puckett's birthday. In looking at the 3/14 death day list on wikipedia, I found the following:

1989 - Shandy Shahabi, Pimp Mac Daddy (b. 1989)

Finally: Mmmm, steaks....

Ah, yes, I saw Warren Ellis link that. Eventually, at least. I had to wade through RSS hell today, as every Gawker site kept spewing repeat items. I swear, those guys are officially on parole now. I'm gonna have to quarantine them in Google Reader if this happens one more time.

It was also Commander Keen's IQ Day.
